● EMPATHY: Go for it.
● TELEPATHY PROPER: I'm going to say yes. Obviously, he knows that Charles is a telepath from the very short amount of time he knew him last time around, so he'll try to be more guarded with his thoughts and will probably be able to recognize when he's sneaking around in his head, but ... his mental defenses aren't anywhere near perfect, so Charles will probably be able to pick up a fair deal.
● LANGUAGE: Sylar speaks English, obviously. Beyond that, it's head canon that he knows a little Latin -- the Catholic Mass to be specific, since his mother was a super religious nutbag and forced him to go to church and such every Sunday -- so feel free to run with that?
● HISTORY/MEMORIES: Feel free to go nuts. There's likely a section of Sylar's memories that feel like they have a wall built around them, however, from where he suppressed the trauma of his father selling him to his aunt and uncle and murdering his mother in front of him when he was, like, ten. Like most repressed memories, though, those particular ones are possible to get to if Charles feels the need to poke at said mental block, but I'd prefer you asked before having him do that. It might be interesting to see how Sylar would deal with that, but I'd also like warning before he has to.
● NOTES: Anything Charles gets from him is going to be tinged with a sort of undercurrent of ... barely restrained desire to murder him and try to figure out his power. Even if he's being completely non-threatening, even if they end up friends, that want will always be there. Part of his main ability manifests as an overwhelming need to know how everything works and, unfortunately, in the case of people with powers, that means hacking their head open and looking at their brain, so ... yeah. Other than that, though, I'm not sure how familiar you are with Heroes canon, so if you have any questions, feel free to hit me up.
